What we collect:

What we do with the information we gather:
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons: Internal record keeping, and marketing purposes. We may use the information to improve our products and services. If you have consented, we will use the email address you have provided to periodically send you promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting.

When someone visits www.stringfellows.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This is to help us understand our client’s preferences. Through this engine, we can monitor various metrics including the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and the popularity of specific pages. Individual identity details are not collected or processed by Google Analytics. Under no circumstance will Google be able to access the identities of individuals visiting the Stringfellows website.
When you use Stringfellow’s Guest Wifi, we may collect data about:
a. Your device;
b. The volume of data you use;
c. The websites and applications you access; and
d. Your usage by access time, frequency, and location.
This data is used to collect details about how visitors are using Stringfellows Guest Wifi. The details will not be shared with any outside parties.
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information such as name and email address. We use that information to keep you informed about the topics and other items you have asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right, and to check every now and then that you are happy with the services we provide to you. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, Mailchimp to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.
